The COUNTERbalance™ IslandBracket is designed to work on the left or right of cabinet walls. The bracket can be installed sitting directly on the cabinet by simply making a 1" notch in the cabinet with a skil saw and attaching with two screws, the notch in bracket will cover possible overcuts for a clean finish. For a tighter fit use a router with a 1/4" bit to plane top of cabinet. Router template available for purchase. The COUNTERbalance™ CounterPlate is designed to install in TWO ways: 1) For a quick install, the plate can be attached directly to the stud wall with screws. 2) For a cleaner look trace the shape of the plate onto the stud wall.
